Leafs @ Habs - Feb. 28th, 7:00pm - CBC, Fan 590

Holzer's issue has been consistency. In his first stretch this season he looked good for a 6D too at the start but eventually just fell apart.

Why do they keep putting Kadri on the blueline on the PP.  It just doesn't fit with his strengths.

Regarding Holzer, he has definitely been playing his best hockey the past few weeks.  Think he's going to be one of those guys who winds up having a decent career in the NHL, even if it is as a 5/6th defenseman.

They keep talking about that guy from EDM but if teams are dying for a RH dman you'd think Polak would be of interest.

I think the difference is that Edmonton seems like a pretty sure bet to deal Petry but I genuinely don't know if the Leafs are looking to deal Polak.

Whoever is the head of HNIC's segue department really needs to be fired.

Out of a cannon. Into the sun.

I really don't get the Jeff Petry appeal.  He's a mediocre defenseman to me.

True.  I guess it somewhat depends on what they intend to do with Phaneuf.

You just need to look at them from a blue and black frame of view instead of your white and gold approach.

Honestly, I wouldn't look to move Polak regardless. To my mind he's the perfect guy to keep around right now and shop next year as a rental.

Seriously on Jeff Petry.  He doesn't give you offense.  He isn't that great of a defensive player either.  If he goes for anything more than a 2nd round draft pick I will be shocked.

Yeah, I don't see there being a lot of demand around the league for what he brings to the table.

Yeah, maybe. I mean, I'd let it be known that he's available, but, the price would be pretty steep right now.

Yeah but I think after Sekera, Franson and Timmonen have all been moved the talk is going to be centered a lot more on who's available than it is on who's an ideal fit or a real impact player.

That Mitch Marner guy with a 6-point (and counting) game tonight.  He's now on pace to score the most points in the OHL since Patrick Kane.
