Leafs @ Habs - Oct. 29th, 7:00pm - CBC, Fan 590

I think for me it's more about him either becoming a better offensive player, or a better defensive player...he's not becoming either, at this point.

I think he's been better offensively. It's hard to display that too much without PP opportunities though.

Blame all that on Carrick. The kid can skate you see the Habs get control in their own end he should of been skating hard as soon as he seen Pacioretty skate back. Instead he let Pacioretty get the step ahead and then takes a dumb penalty.

As much as the possession/shot totals favour the Leafs right now they've struggled to generate much in the way of quality chances when they're not on the rush. A lot of that is Carey Price but at some point you have to realize what works and what doesn't.

Did he just say Kadri was Smeagoled by the check?

I've heard Hughson use that word before. I didn't know Smeagol was a verb.

What would that even mean?

He's been using that for a while. It's not a kind reference, I think it refers to greasy plays, like when you avoid a check sneakily/cowardly, or a check right on the borderline against a player.

Well, full credit to the Habs there. They played a smart, disciplined game that gave the Leafs nothing they didn't have to fight for.

If it wasn't for Carey Price global temperatures would already have increased by 2 degrees and sea levels would already be up by 6 feet
