Leafs @ Kings - Jan. 7th, 10:30pm - SNO, TSN 1050

And Gardiner starts the power play, makes a terrific play at the blue line and the Leafs score.  And (once again the lamentable line:  why isn't he on the first power play unit every night?)

Lots of good play tonight.  I'm leaning toward Hunwick for MotM though, he's taken a boatload of hits and still held the LA big guys in check for the most part.

Esp. since they are down 1 guy.

I think the same could be said for Kadri too.

That was a helluva game!

It's incredible how much more competitive and fun this team is now.

And Gardiner and Rielly.

Damn, really thought they were going to tie it up there.  Quick made some big saves.  Thoroughly entertaining.

Definitely worth staying up for.  Shows that, at their best, they can play with anybody in the league.

What also made the game so interesting is looking at their play tonight in contrast to last year's bad road trip to California where they were simply outmatched.  This team doesn't quit.

Entertaining game.  Those two minutes of empty net were tense filled and had the Kings on edge, thanks to Jonathan Quick's acrobats.

Liked the way the Leafs went hit for hit against L.A.,  one of the league's hardest hitting teams.  Kings outdid them in the blocked shots department (14-7), but the Leafs had the upper hand in faceoffs won (37-23).
