Leafs @ Oilers - Jan. 30th, 7:00pm - SN, Fan 590

Team tries to get cute last 30 seconds. Why not rag the puck for the last 1/2 minute and take your chances in OT. Almost cost them.

Got the point in a game they weren?t great.  I?ll take it.

McDavid has payed about 4 minutes of the last 6 of the game

Fought back to get a point in a night where they didn?t have much going. Definitely things to work on going into the 4 day break, but a reasonable foundation to build on.

I really don't understand Keefe always starting Tavares in 3 on 3, especially when he is forced to keep up to McDavid on that much open ice.

Freddie saved a point there late when Muzzin blew a tire. They played like ass tonight but managed a point. Move on

I don't know, that's an easy decision to criticize in hindsight. Could have just as easily been the Leafs survived that first shift and then Matthews and Marner went out against whatever crap Edmonton put out next and they scored. Or if Matthews and Marner did go out and spent their entire shift defending then you could say their offensive talents were wasted. I don't really hate the decision. It's not as if Keefe did the equivalent of sending out Komarov and Hainsey.

Well I'm definitely looking forward to not having to play Edmonton 4 times in 11 days again. Say what you will about their team, but McDavid and Draisaitl can put on a show.

Nylander probably shouldn't take that shot. He didn't have a great angle and if he doesn't score it's guaranteed to be a 2 on 1 coming back.

Better play would have been for him to carry it behind the night and keep possession.

I can do without seeing those jerseys again. Even Edmonton's... it's like, "hey, let's make a jersey that more closely resembles our hated provincial rival's".
