Leafs @ Oilers - Mar. 1st, 10:00pm - SNO, Fan 590

McDavid really is afraid of Justin Holl

McD should have gotten a penalty on Barabanov in the EDM zone. Liked Barabankv knocking Draisaitl on his ass, intentional or not lol.

This drop pass on the PP is going to cost us. Keep it simple and 4 guys deep earlier. Got a 3 goal lead don?t give them any odd man rushes especially on the PP.

I don't understand the passes back all the way into the Leafs zone.  Everyone else is stationary.  Edmonton gets the clog the blueline and the rushes keep dying.  Stop with the constant drop passes that create absolutely no speed for the team.

Also, who the heck is this team we are watching this year because I think they might have learned how to play defense.

Amazing what the added defence has done to this team this year !
The team started playing this way in the play ins last season. The personal this year is allowing then to implement it more.

I found this immensely impressive. Takes the short angle fast to cut him off and then slows up to neutralize the threat.

Heck, even before that. Keefe had the team playing better defensively during his part of the regular season, but Andersen's craptastic play just made it difficult to notice. Taking out Barrie and Ceci also help.

True enough on all accounts.

People keep talking about having Cuthbert/Simpson calling the game, can't seem to find that.

There's a SNO and SNW feed. NHL Live is only giving me the West feed which is weird because they usually have home and away options. So if the streamers are using that there might not be another choice.

Yeah there is. You guys familiar with NC Discord? I'm watching on regular 4K SNO broadcast.
NC discord is empty and he said he wasn't posting a link as per FB post. They were getting taken down a lot. Either way I don't have access to that feed.

Yeah I think that is something that we really need to be talking about a bit more.  I used December onward for Andersen as Babcock was fired November 20 so that just gave a clean break from post-Babcock to Keefe Leafs.

2021 - 16GP 11-3-2 2.69 GAA .905 SV%
2020 - 31GP 16-8-4 3.13 GAA .901 SV%

I don't think Andersen is necessarily the best goaltender on this team anymore.  He still might be the best starter because we just don't know what Campbell can do with an extended run but I'm not sure he is the best guy in a one off scenario.

Andersen has been very just ok for a full year now.
