Overall that was an ineffective low energy period.  I don?t know what it will take to get this team pissed off.

This prompts a question: is playing pissed effective?

Well we know playing with no anger isn?t effective.

I don?t know that that?s accurate seeing as how this team has played emotionally steady for the majority of the past three seasons.

Nice and tidy 3-man breakout leads to a controlled entry and great chance for Hyman and Marner and a drawn penalty.

And no playoff wins to show for it.

I assume you mean series wins. And that?s largely because someone tried to play pissed off.

Who played pissed off?

NSH is far from a dangerous forward-line-driven team but even so that period has to rank with the best defensive showings of the Leafs' season.  They've taken the practice to heart it appears.

Ah the McCabe ragdolling.  I remember watching that live and thinking, "That was ill-advised, Mr. Stupidface."

Liking the breakouts using our wheels. Even Hainsey?s passing is improved with the shorter throw.
