In the background, music played from what Wild forward Marcus Foligno called a ?s?-y? stereo system, one that wasn?t exactly adding much energy to the dressing room.

Reaves was a newcomer to the team, having been traded from the Rangers on Nov. 22, 2022. But he?d heard enough.

?So (Reaves) just called out (Guerin) in front of the guys,? Foligno told The Athletic. ?He?s like, ?Get off your wallet, get the boys a nice stereo.??

I generally agree. What irks me a little is losing Acciari, now maybe that doesn't directly relate to signing Reaves, but it's hard not to compare them a little.

OK but Acciari isn't ROR. Like, if we really need a guy like that at some point I'm pretty confident that the Leafs can add a guy like that if need be without much of a draft cost. Like, if we're not generally confident that our GM can make that kind of addition at a reasonable price then we probably have bigger concerns than just Acciari vs. Reaves.

The Leafs almost certainly aren't finished with tinkering about with their bottom 6 and my guess is that when all is said and done it'll be fairly comparable to what they've had in recent years.

No comparison to ROR intended.  I just liked Acciari and felt the deal he got was worth it.

From the MLHS profile Reaves is kind of relentless in his desire to get people to act like a team on and off the ice.  Not sure how that will fly in this locker room, but best of luck to him.
