just logged on to see the score. WTF?

Said it before this team is not as good as its record. Lots of work still to be done. I personally think management is ok with how the team is and aren't going to tinker with it too much. Don't think anyone predicted them to make the playoffs and if it happens great but they'll go through some bad losses like tonight and move on.

If I were Babcock I would put a lot of stock in how the team plays these next 2 periods.  Who is embarrassed enough to put in an all-out effort?  Who just goes through the motions?

I think you've pretty much got it.  Everyone knows that the defense isn't going to cut it.

I mean I know the team has been dire, but 5 goals on 12 shots isn't a great look on either goalie, I wonder if they consider going back to Freddie in the 2nd.

I'll never forget when the team stunk one game and the only guy that looked like he still cared was Antropov

I'll ask again -- anyone with a Leafs stream?  I can't find one for the life of me, and listening to the Stars announcers is insufferable.

It's got ads to get through, but otherwise, pretty vanilla Toronto stream.

I thought I sent you one earlier. I'll try again.

Oy, 6-2.

Thanks WIGWAL, Herman, disco -- WIGWAL, you did send me a link awhile back, but it seems I can't get my PMs to show on my laptop.  I had to get them just now through Tapatalk on my phone.

Well, small consolation though it is, at least the team has pretty much shown some fight across the board since the first.  I'd give anything to have heard what Babcock said screamed at the 1st intermission.

Yeah. Well 6-0 is an embarrassment. 6-3 is a loss.

McFate when you say defence do you mean the actually defensemen or team defence. I personally think our D corps needs some upgrading but I think the overall team defence is the problem. The whole team needs to play better as a collective group. I think we give up way too many good scoring and I repeat good scoring chances on a nightly basis. They have to cut those down. Every team gives up scoring chances but I think the good teams limit the great opportunities. Let's face it after the first few games Andersen has bailed us out quite frequently. He's been one of the reasons we are where we are. If we can learn to play better without the puck with an addition of another solid defenseman and another top 6 forward this team will be set.

The young forwards are on a learning curve still, and JVR and Bozak are suspect too many nights.  So yeah, overall D is still not playoff quality.  Though it's better than in the recent past.

The first period was just gawdawful all the way round.

That was the worst the leafs have played all season in that first period. I guess they improved the rest of the way since they only gave up 1 more after the first.
