I agree fully. Kadri is still a big question mark but no chance I'd trade Gardiner in this scenario.

I don't buy that, it's all talk. They have 9+ million in goalie on the books, that's bad in any light IMO.

Or, you know, it could just be that the only teams that had any real interest all had GMs that were smart/prudent enough to wait until after the CBA ordeal had been dealt with so they'd know exactly what kind of landscape they'd be looking at in terms of dealing with that contract.

It's more like a 9+ million insurance plan. How many times have we seen a young goalie look great in his first year then hit a wall / turn to mud in his second?
