Marlies & Growlers 2019-2020

How?s Korshkov looking? I like his underrated playmaking vision
Korshkov just pulled off a Crosby behind the net. Went one way, reversed, one hand pass to himself off the back of the net, wraparound. Beauty! Liljegren made a rush and made the Checkers D man look like a peewee player. Goalie made a great save. Korshkov almost scored again. Guy is huge and uses his size and can skate. Like him.

Here's the Korshkov goal. It was def more impressive from our view. The kid in the green behind the net is my kid. That's where we sat.

Korshkov scored another beauty the other night (sorry don't have the link). Korshkov was viciously checked by a Belleville player into the boards, hope that a__sh__e gets a long suspension.

Also Bracco seems have left the Marlies for personal reasons and no timetable to return. His trade value is next to nothing right now.

Ceci's injury/Liljegren's promotion will give Duszak a chance to play with the Marlies again. He has 35 points in 34 games in the ECHL this season. That puts him 3rd overall among defencemen in scoring there, but he's played 14 games less than the defenceman in 1st. Duszak leads all defencemen in points per game though and by a pretty good margin.

He looks promising as well. Saw him play a few times last year and he shows promise. I think he has a good shot of making it.

And Kivihalme is getting a lot of accolades as well, becoming a fixture on the FPP.  Seems to have poise.
Looks like the D is coming boys and girls.  Nice we have the offence tied up for the next 3-6 years.
Lets our new D settle in.
Looking forward to Liljegren play with the Leafs tonight.

The Marlies were down 4-0 part way through the 1st and did not take the lead at all until this goal.

That boy is a looking real good. Maybe a second round steal??? Hopefully.

The competition is obviously lower but yeah the coaching is the biggest factor in that development.  Dominant junior players can benefit from OHL play at Draft+1 if they need to work on his defensive game.  If guys are in the ECHL to play a given role or work on parts of their game.....I?m excited for the fruits of this development track for a team that is going to have to rely on cheap cost control.
