that was a solid win ....

kind of unclassy there the rochester player trying to put the puck in the stands

What happened?  Did he fail to get it over the glass?

i only saw one view of it ..so i don't know if he did put it out or not ...i just saw the marlie player (not sure who it was) skating over trying to get it ..i assume for the goalie ...and despite that...the rochester player makes a point of not letting that happen ...i'm sure he was ticked about the result..but still

The Pronger is strong in that one.

Probably Tuesday or Wednesday of next week. Most of the 1st round series are scheduled through Saturday. As for who they will face it could be either Chicago, Abbotsford, or Houston.

Scratch Houston as a possible 2nd round opponent for the Marlies. OKC won 5-2 tonight to take their series 3-1. San Antonio leads Chicago 2-1 with Game 4 on Wednesday night. If the Rampage win, they will be the Marlies 2nd round opponent.

San Antonio wins a thrilling Game 5 against Chicago in 2OT. That means the Marlies gets Abbotsford in Round 2. Here's the schedule (all times Eastern):

Western Conference Semifinal ? Series ?L? (best-of-7)

Game 2 - Thurs., May 3 - Abbotsford at Toronto, 7:00
Game 3 - Sat., May 5 - Toronto at Abbotsford, 10:00
Game 4 - Tue., May 8 - Toronto at Abbotsford, 10:00
*Game 5 - Wed., May 9 - Toronto at Abbotsford, 10:00

Once again, it's just Rogers TV carrying the home games. I'd love to hear the explanation for this.

Me too.

Abbottsford has won their last 10 games in a row including two against the Marlies.  :o

Yes you would think that by this point in the playoffs they could justify coverage by one of the actual sports networks.

Nothing but the Calder Cup finals is going to get on either TSN or Sportsnet - there's just not going to be enough of an audience to justify it. The issue here is why aren't the Marlies' playoff games on Leafs TV - a channel that really has no other programming that takes precedence right now.

I completely understand TSN not being able to carry the games, especially since they have the NHL playoffs and NBA playoffs coming up. I'm a little surprised Sportsnet hasn't been carrying them, especially considering their programming is regional so their Ontario channel would probably do better numbers with a Marlies game then their usual programming.

LeafsTV really doesn't have an excuse here. They need to be carrying the games if they get into the next round.
