To be fair, MacTavish was coach from 2000/2001 to 2008/2009, not like he was there one year and fired.

They aren't a team at all.  Scrivens got nailed by Getzlaf a few days ago and no one even looked at him.  The entire organization is a joke.  I hope the comedy continues.  When is Katz going to grow a pair and fire Lowe?

So it's really Todd Nelson:

@TSNBobMcKenzie

Todd Nelson will be taking over on an interim basis from now until end of the year, after brief transition period with MacT on bench.

He was the coach of their AHL affiliate.

Can't wait for Mac to fire him at the end of this season.

They've only got a year or two before they're moving into their new downtown digs, so there's a bit of a timeline there to get their act together.

Just out of curiosity, if Edmonton's first overall was available what would it take to land that pick?

kessel, jvr and bozak ...for edmonton's first round pick...you're that comfortable with who is likely to be drafted second over all?  really?  i get the hype around mcdavid ...but the oiler's pick is still a lottery one..they don't have to get him even if they do end up in last.

The question said 1st overall, so I'm assuming we're talking about post-lottery/McDavid.

Yeah I made the assumption that if Edmonton lands the first overall pick what would it take to get that pick.

Edmonton needs defence..so Phanuef, Reiley and Kessel?

Nobody is trading McDavid.
