Yet another lazy clearing attempt by Franson. Is anyone still on board with resigning this guy?

I was really only barely on board with signing him this summer. I'm quite happy they didn't cave and give him a multi-year deal.

I think they kinda knew he would be on the bubble again this season, which in all likelihood, will be his last as a Leaf. With offense like we just saw on that goal, he's got some trade value.

He's directly responsible for more goals against than he contributes to.

This is the year to move him for sure. His offensive stats are impressive, if you ignore the rest of his game.

Oh, there will definitely teams that think they can do a better job of insulating him defensively. He's a right-handed shot and he gets the puck on net well. That has value. He's really just not a good fit for a defensively questionable team like the Leafs.

Raymond never makes the right play.  Always keeps the puck on his stick too long.

It's getting to the point that, once the puck is on his stick, I assume whatever offensive chance might have been there is about to disappear.

Yep, I think they'll send him along at the deadline.  But I do think they need a RH defenseman somewhere in the lineup.

I'd like to see him moved if not to create a spot for TJ Brennan. They have to take a look at that guy at some point, different type of D man notwithstanding.

Truth be told, if the leafs are in a playoff spot, I don't see them moving Franson. As bad as he is, he's still in their top 4.
