Yeah, PAP is certainly the better of the two, but I wonder what qualifies as a "decent contract". Multiyear? Over 2M?

I can see him getting a 2 year contract for ~$2.5M per. Good value for a ~20g, 40p winger, and some protection in the event of an expansion draft.

PAP has lost interest in playing hockey after the deadline passed.  Not sure I want him back.

I find myself rooting for Pittsburg more than the Leafs right now.

If there ever was a time for Crosby to put the team on his back...

All they have to do is keep pace ahead of either Detroit or Philly. Both of them aren't going to be in. I think Pitts is going to be fine but it'll definitely be as a wildcard, so it feels a bit dangerous.

Big Pittsburgh-Philly game this Saturday. I'm torn, I want both to make the playoffs. I think both will end up getting in over Detroit though regardless. Here's hoping for OT.

As long as Pittsburgh ends up with the 2nd wildcard, I'm happy. Gives them the strongest odds of being knocked out early and giving the Leafs the highest possible pick.
