Penguins @ Leafs - Feb. 2nd, 7:00pm - CBC, Fan 590

Great team effort! Impressive lockdown.

Eye test only, and single game, but Muzzin was a big stabilizer in some key minutes/matchups.

I can't believe we won that game. Why can't this team start playing in the 1st?

These people paid good money for drama, so by gun they?re going to get it!

Like I said, Keep the faith Baby, we all need to be onboard with this. We have an outstanding team and not a bad back up Goalie it seems. Sparky was well out in front of his crease tonight instead of hiding in it. He was challenging shooters all game .  Rielly is becoming a revelation and Muzzin comes as promised, "steady Eddy", I like his game, helps settle us all down.

3 goals in his last 3 games, but watching Matthews, I'm willing to bet he's still playing hurt. He's not engaging in puck battles and traffic like he used to.

Props to Sparks for settling down but man is he jittery in the beginning of games.
I think he's getting more confidence and is more comfortable than he looked earlier in the season. If he can keep the movements less exaggerated I think he'll be good from here on out

I wonder if that's not intentional.  I have said before that we may need to change his style of play -- less zigzag pinballing in close quarters -- to avoid the kinds of injuries he's already had.

He played the shutdown role after the Leafs took the lead.  He also seemed, as mentioned, to have gained more confidence as the team led the comeback.

Even though he looked shaky in the beginning, once he settles down and gets offensive support, he looks better and better.  Sparks is no Freddy yet, but in time, and with even greater improvement, he can reach that level at some point.

I think you're right. It's his back.

I thought Sparks looked good tonight. More controlled in the net. Hopefully a sign of things to comes. I still don't like they way he seems to frequently lose track of the puck.

I also wonder how he loses it so frequently where he seems to be so unaware of where the puck is on the ice.
