Penguins @ Leafs - Oct. 31th, 7:00pm - CBC, Fan 590

Man, if Bernier could only hold the Penguins to -1 goals the Leafs would really have something here.

I hate these Chevy commercials. Those kids are all able to play the game because they gave them each an iPad. Do those come with the car?

I know the Leafs were supposed to be bad but the lack of offense is painful.  How are the 1000 people in Anaheim watching the Ducks?

But he's skating in one direction and turns, whether it's turning to stop or not he changes his position.  Clune still had time to stop I think, but I think it's wrong to also say he doesn't turn at all.  Sometimes I think that's a mitigating factor, I don't think it is this time.

If Scuderi doesn't "turn" where do you think Clune hits him? His numbers would still have been the principal point of contact, to borrow a term from the DOPS.

I agree that he is deserving of a penalty on the play and the turn doesn't change things, but if he doesnt change angles like that, Scuderi likely gos into the boards shoulder first instead of head first.

Man I watched the Leafs in the dreaded 80's and I don't think even they were this bad.

Yes because in the 80s everyone was scoring goals... So even if they lost they probably still scored 3-4 a game

These 3-1 losses are boring.

Well, also because there wasn't really any Leafs team in the 80's without any good young players. They were talent shy comparatively but even the 84-85 team was at least young.

Why did Bernier not react at all there?

"What, they want me to make saves on the powerplay too?!"

Like he reacted as if that initial stop was super difficult and instead of knocking the puck away he just...did nothing.

I thought the same thing. "Oh, just go ahead and score."
