Phaneuf To Sens

You really don't think that this is a bit of biased sample right now? You can't extrapolate true trends over the course of a few games.

I didn't write that article, so my level of beleaf in it is probably besides the point.

He came over as a salary dump being buried in the minors of the Sens tire fire of a team. His performance so far, coupled with the extremely low expectations he arrived under, puts him in the plus column for me.

I'm not saying we should re-sign him after next year -- he plays a replaceable role -- just that we traded Phaneuf for Lindberg and garbage, but Greening has turned out to be the nicely wrapped sandwich they accidentally tossed in.

Weird question - I think Greening has been primarily the wing, but NHL.com has him listed as a centre.  I'm assuming he can do both?

The line of Laich - Smith - Greening shortly after the deadline was exactly that. Everyone was the centre.

I heard they shut down the P today for the season

Hairline fracture on his foot from a blocked shot.

MacArthur out with a concussion as well.

The Senaturds just need to trade for Lupul to alleviate all this injury nonsense with Phaneuf and MacArthur!  :o  ;D  ;)

This was such a good trade for the Leafs.  (Really). :)

The best part of the trade was getting rid of Phaneuf's contract without any salary retention!  ;D
