RedLeaf said:-Which GM could say he was doing his job if he wasn't 'listening' to offers for any and all of his players whenever they are made?
RedLeaf said:-The offers Nonis is getting for Kessel are probably all lowball offers from GMs trying to capitalize on his goalscoring slump.
Nik Gida said:Heroic Shrimp said:Yes, and as we all know, Brett Hull also never experienced a slump.
Don't be ridiculous. After all, there's only so much a player can do to avoid black cats, stepping on cracks in the sidewalk, referring to The Scottish Play by name or setting sail on Candlemas Day. The difference though is that Hull managed to ameliorate all of these gaffes by making the appropriate sacrifices at the altars of Clotho, Lachesis and Atropos which, of course, allowed him to once again find the back of the net.
So really, what we should be asking ourselves is why Kessel hasn't consulted the relevant oracles and procured the three requisite white doves.

This is the exact deal that jumped out at me I was alluding to above.

I don't get it either. He's had one season where he's looked like more than a 3rd liner (while getting the most ice time per game out of all the forwards on his team), and now he's being touted as a potential 1st line centre? Sorry, but, I just don't see it. Good 2nd line centre? Sure, I can see that, but, realistically, I think he's a 2nd/3rd line tweener on a contending team.
