Masterful OZ pressure results in a big goal by the captain. Knies? pursuit and puck holding abilities and then finding good ice made the difference there. I?ll try to find a clip of the sequence.

The Leafs putting that together after Matthews and Marner get hemmed in the DZ on a weak backhand breakout chain is an excellent response.

What don?t you get. It?s only preseason I get it maybe the compete level isn?t where it should be but pretty well your lineup going into the season. To blow a two goal lead against a weaker lineup to me is inexcusable.

Of course it doesn't. And guess what? At some point during the year they're going to blow a 2 goal lead, like every team does. Like Keefe says, it was a sloppy game. Sammy looked very ordinary and so did some others. Is what it is. These guys have been at it for 5 weeks now so I'm betting they're itching to just gt the season going.
