Qualifier Game 5: Blue Jackets @ Leafs - Aug. 9th, 8:00pm - SN, TSN 1050

Columbus has had better goaltending than the Leafs this series.  Andersen hasn?t been bad but he hasn?t been as good as Columbus

Well, no matter what Matthews and Tavares have delivered the goods this series.
Absolutely. No issue with them. Matthews has been a beast. No issue with Freddie either.

Yes.

No.
Haha. Bad line change and another cheap ass goal for CBJ. Leafs create great chances and hit the post. Just the way it goes sometimes.

Cup winning goalie will never let in these type of goal. Period!

As much as he carries the team in the regular season I agree. Trade him and Nylander in the off season. Willy hasn?t done a thing and back to his soft play.

And Andersen.

Really?

He's been leaky. And I'm not just talking about that terrible goal.

Yeah, he's got to stop that. But he's had an excellent playoffs.

We lost game one to a soft goal and the clincher right now is a soft goal.  I don't care how many you save if the ones you let in are soft and cost us the game.

This is textbook Columbus.  No defensive mistakes at all.  A game of inches and the Tavares post was a harbinger of the rest of the game.

Leafs didn't score the 1st game and so far haven't scored in this one either. Can't win if you don't score. JT will be thinking about that open net the rest of the summer.

I don't know about trading him, but Nylander has definitely been a passenger tonight.

Both game 1 and tonight are a result of the team not being able to put the puck in the net. If you need your goalie to be perfect, you don?t deserve to win.

Personally I was thinking Andersen was going to earn my respect if he kept it to one goal and literally 1 minute later allows that.

But you can not lose without scoring. The Columbus goalies have done a much better job of giving their team that chance.  A soft goal every game does not inspire confidence.
