I'm now officially pissed off at Bennett.

Didn't watch the game but a lot of talk about Bennett. Should have been suspended but Leafs also should have addressed it then or in the games played since but just shows you the lack of you know what on this team. Florida players like him Tkachuk, Gudas run around doing dumb sh*t because they know that have nothing to fear. Too easy to play against in my opinion. I would dress Simmonds. We don't need the 4th line to play 15 minutes but throw him out there once in a while and just his presence might deter these clowns from doing dumb shi*

I actually think that makes some sense ? if he doesn't go over the line, which a vet like him should be able to accomplish.

Haven't we debunked the enforcer deterrent narrative enough by now?  The Leafs just played their best game of the postseason and the only way I'm adjusting the lineup is if Knies comes back healthy to play.

I'm not sure I put Knies in the game if he's ready. I think experience comes more into play in these knockout games.

Like azzurri said, just his presence.  I do think it could make a difference, kind of like Schenn standing at the end of the bench and dismissing Jeannot and company in R1.

If Knies is ready he goes back in. He won't hurt you defensively and has offensive upside.

I'm 100% for Knies playing if healthy but the rest of the team needs to let the Panthers know that they can't take liberties on him. That why I'd suit up Simmonds as well. He doesn't need to play a ton just there to let Bennett Tkachuk know they can't do dumb shi*. LK I understand the enforcer role and you might not think it needs to be in the game but it's not so much an enforcer just someone with some physical presence and just a little reminder that if you want to run roughshod on any of our guys or cheap shots you'll get what's coming. Again the leafs for a long time have been an easy team to play against. I guarantee you half the crap you see them do would be eliminated.

If Pietrangelo blatantly attempting to injure Draisaitl with one of the dirtiest hockey plays I've seen in a long time despite Edmonton having one of the toughest and most physically intimidating players in the league in Evander Kane doesn't prove to the hockey world that deterrents don't do a thing then I don't really know what will.

Seriously. Guys who play with an edge and have tendency to cross the line will continue to do so regardless of who is on the ice for the other team. That?s always been the case and will continue to be the case until their actions have too much of a detrimental impact on their wallet. They don?t care about getting punched in the face. That just means they?re doing their job effectively.
