I don't think anyone's expecting Jones to maintain his .949 Sv% and 1.85 GAA throughout the season but continuing to out play Samsonov over the next few weeks isn't that improbable. Even Jones' numbers last season, a career worst for him, were a big improvement over what Samsonov is putting up right now. If he keeps stringing together even decent performances until Woll returns and Samsonov's game continues to show zero consistency the Leafs will be forced to make a tough decision with who to send down.
