Got a bunch of new names from the NCAA signings and 2024 draft, as well as some expiries and age outs from the U25 list. Subject to change still as UFA/trade season is still underway.

Feel free to let me know if I missed anyone or screwed up in other ways.

Not sure of your cut-off date, but Liljegren is 25.

I knew I was missing one after making some other corrections. Thanks, Frank!

I'm going to go with less than 25 as of Sept 15, 2024.

Haha thanks! This is way easier with your help!

That clears a big chunk of under-25 guys from the roster. Potentially 1 less if Robertson is traded too. Hopefully the next wave (Cowan, Minten, potentially Niemela/Webber/Tverberg/Hirvonen/Grebyonkin) are able to contribute sooner rather than later.

Leaving only 18 of last year's 25 (28% drop). I am expecting SDA and Kokkonen to drop off the list from the votings, and probably Malinoski (18 pts in 35 GP in NCAA) too.

Brandon Lisowsky, whose rights expired June 1 and did not get re-drafted this weekend, is back for dev camp.

Edit: aged out of the draft now and eligible to be signed as a UFA

Didn't even think we had SDA's rights anymore.

He was issued a QO after he went back to the KHL so we retain his rights should he wish to try North America again. Probably not the right fit with Treliving vs Dubas though.

I'd imagine the CHL route would be the better option. Edmonton was one of the worst teams in the WHL last season. Can't say I'm super familiar with their roster obviously but no top draft picks on it and some of their better point producers seem like they may be aging out of the league for next season. So, probably not a super competitive group this coming season either. So could be an opportunity for him to get big minutes if he can seize them.

The OP of the 2024 draft has some updated links from MLHS and PPP on specific player profiles (as I find them).

Canada has submitted its initial invites to the World Junior Summer Showcase (basically dev camp for projected WJC invites). Easton Cowan naturally is among the invitees, but late cut in 2023 and Leafs 6th rounder Noah Chadwick also scores a look.
