Looking really out of sync. The delayed start, blended lines, and lack of 5-on-5 play not helping the team get into a rhythm.

PP units are all the same so there should be no excuse there
 
Leafs have 5 shots while having three PPs this period.  Not impressed with the effort at all. 

If this game doesn't go well I'd be open to scratching Tavares to send a bigger message through the lineup

At least three passes across that could have, and likely should have, been goals.  Samsonov has looked good.  But thankfully Detroit has botched a few sure goals.
 
Keefes accountability is such a joke. WTF is Knies doing on the 4th line? The longer management waits to fire this guy is just more concern to miss the playoffs.

Not as much, for sure, but all the other stuff has impacts on all facets of the game - especially the delayed start messing up their pre-game routines. No excuses for looking as bad as they did on the 3 power plays, but would not have been surprising to see them less crisp than we know they can be.

Yep and the laziness and lack of attention to detail by the #1 PP group. But Keefe keeps starting them on the PP. Comes a time when he has to say screw you guys you ain?t producing and your giving up chances the other way.

He belongs there right now. He's not producing. And Keefe benched 3 guys last night, took Gio out.

So why wasn?t there any mention of the giveaway by Matthews that led to a goal? Regardless of who you are or what you make. Tavares been sucking , Marner meh, but rewarded. Can?t have favourites.
 
I love Kypreos saying they should have a PP like Col when the Leafs are better then them on it. Going into tonight's game, Col has 37 more PPs then the Leafs also. And yes it's looked pretty sad tonight, not denying that.

Tavares got benched last night. Matthews line along with Domi's were the only ones doing anything last night. And what do you want him to do? Sit Matthews for 10 mins? Never going to happen. You're not sitting your game breakers while the game is in doubt.
