A little weird, for obvious reasons. Not sure how often this has happened in the past. I thought it might have gone to PAP since he "overcame" being bought out and stuff.
 
Reimer is a half decent goalie when you put a competent defense in front of him.  :o

We may rue the day he was traded, well, unless we can re-sign him.  :'(

Well, maybe it would be better if we don't re-sign him.  Wouldn't want all the bickering between the Bernier and Reimer camps to start up again.  :-\
 
Really happy for him, and I hope he has success in the playoffs.

EDIT:  I wonder what somebody paid him in the obvious bet to say "Rhyme or Reason".
 
Reimer's final stat line (small sample size of course) in San Jose was pretty impressive

8 Games, 1.62 GAA .938 Sv %

7th overall in the NHL in Sv%

I wonder how much playoff time he might get and how much he'll earn and where he ends up next year.

$4.35M in Calgary.  Just a guess.
 
So the Reimer watch starts.  I doubt he re-signs in SJ given that he didn't get a sniff of playoff action behind Jones. Reimer wants to be a starter, where does he go?

He would fit well in Carolina.  With Cam Ward out, they have a need for another NHL goalie.

They have Eddie Lack currently so it would like be another 1A - 1B scenario but I could see him getting the majority of starts over Lack should he sign there.

3 or 4 years at $4mil per should do it for him while they wait for Nedeljkovic to get some pro experience.

I don't see Reimer as a fit in Carolina.  I don't see him beating out Lack either.  JMHO.
