I made reference to it on Saturday night but after that beating the Leafs took they started running promos for this one with a very serious voice-over saying "This isn't about a Wild Card, This isn't about the Post-Season. If you're a hockey player, this is about one thing. Pride" while "highlights" of the Sabres and Leafs played.

Seriously, how much better would this game be if both teams were trying to score on their own nets?

That's a prideful defense lineup.

Hey man what do you expect when a team loses Franson, Polak, and Robidas in the span of a few weeks.

Oh wait...

I am look for a 6-5 lose.

This made me giggle.  :D

Kadri will be scratched for at least 2 more games, per Shanahan.

Nice! Tank nation is happy

"at least"?!?? How many meetings did Kadri miss?

No one knows, however he will be a RFA, and that might be the strategy to sign a low term ou low money deal...

Kadri is eligible for arbitration.  I'm sure some of the guys on here know for sure, but I think salary arbitration is based purely on what he did on the ice.

So far the only rule we know that he broke was being late for practice.

Shanahan specifically said that that isn't the sole reason for this.

Sure man, both are statements are true. Yours just needed a bit more context I felt.

Read between the lines, Kadri is a hockey 164 I.Q.  In the rest of life probably around 68 and that is being generous. The guy is not that bright, but who cares if he can score goals. Remember Forest Gump playing football?
He needs to be disciplined, he needs to grow up and become a leader, in a hockey sense. That means showing up and doing the work. I would really love to hear Eakin's take on the lad.

I have my slippers on, ready for this evening!!!!!

Don't really get why Reimer isn't starting this one.

I can't remember where I read this, maybe even here.  Reimer has a great record against the Sabres, but lost his last start against them while Bernier won his.  Who knows with this team anymore.

I'm really intrigued by just how many times I'll say "Who the hell is Lindstrom?" at the beginning of a game before the fact that the Leafs have a player by that name wearing #15 sinks in.

I'm guessing if/when I learn his first name it'll probably take hold.

Jim? Jim Lindstrom sounds like it could be a name.
