If you score 3 goals every period, that is a novatrick
When he assists on Galchenyuk's hattrick that'll be 12 points on the night, placing Sittler in the shade.  Of course Marner will have 12 As so they both break the record.

That last Matthews shift was dissappointing, he didn't score any goals.

Truly, you expect more out of a guy like that.  A couple of goals a shift at least.

The 3rd line had a longer cycle shift that never really got close to generating a shot but they have also been hemmed in their own zone twice.  Im still not liking Simmonds since he came back

He was better the last 2 games but agree... Hell get there by the playoffs hopefully.

I used to like Connor Brown when he was a Leaf but he annoys me now cause he's basically a poor man's Hyman.

Fashion tip to Kevin B: your checked shirt is causing vertigo amongst the viewership.  Not a positive.

Matthews with 30 goals in 38GP now.  This is including a 12 game stretch where he was clearly playing with a bum wrist and put up 3 goals in that stretch.  It has really over been the last two or three goals where Matthews has truly looked more like his usual self too. He?s still not picking pockets from behind as well as he does when his wrist is 100%.

I don?t think I have ever seen a player look this dominant in a Leafs uniform.

He?s something special, for sure. If he hadn?t hurt his wrist, he might have 40 already. He is, by a pretty wide margin, the best goal scorer in the league right now.

I don?t know about that.  Galchenyuk had the puck and the Ottawa guy skated through his pass/clearing attempt.  Shot attempts void high sticks, they don?t do it for a trip?

Kind of makes you think they should prioritize getting him the puck on the PP.

Hyman doing things in the offensive zone that he could have only dreamed about in his first couple of seasons:
