Just gotta get rid of the stupid needing to have a skate on the ice on or outside the line part of the rule.
 
The problem I have with Kerfoot on that play is that those crosschecks happen all the time and only some of the time does the player go flying like they were shot.  I'd like to see the repeated crosschecks where a guy tries to hold his position get called as much as the ones where the player pretends they were shot.

Don't agree. Skate has to be on the ice. Guy could be 4ft in the zone if the offside skate isn't down. As soon as the puck touches the blue line tho, it should be considered in the zone.

And be completely useless when the puck enters, because they had to stretch out so much to keep part of his body above the line without falling over.
