Seriously though, they look like they have no legs, that's not coaching strategy to me, unless they're just mailing it in to spite him. The Leafs have had beaucoup trouble against teams that can cycle, and well, San Jose looks like they're pretty good at that.

Well I mean, the teams under Maurice and Wilson, while extremely average, were never outplayed this much. If those coaches could get those teams to be competitive in games (and they were, despite their awful goaltending) there's no reason this team shouldn't be - so really it has to be the coaching strategy.
Maybe someone can help me out here, but I'm pretty sure this is similar to what happened in Anaheim when he was fired?
