Man, I hate the Spurs but, well, hats off to them.

What's to hate about them?  I don't know enough of basketball to know either way, I'm just curious.

Hate's probably too strong a word there but they've got a well-earned reputation as floppers(the basketball equivalent of diving), whining about not getting calls(Duncan especially) and employing some pretty downright dirty players in the past. To top it off they play a pretty boring albeit very proficient style of game. They're basically the early 2000's Devils teams in Basketball form.

...and Wade and James don't flop?  or don't whine about calls?

i'll give you the boring but proficient aspects of the Spurs game aspect...

I know they've been dinged for flopping before but I certainly haven't noticed the same naked appeal to the refs that Duncan and Ginobili make.

Although, that said, I'm not exactly the world's biggest Heat fan either.

Interesting article here about the possibility of some teams thinking about making a run at adding both Carmelo and Lebron this off-season. One of the more interesting things in it is that the Lakers, apparently, are exploring trading the #7 pick and Steve Nash's expiring contract in order to clear room which sounds like something the Raptors should be in on.

Add Nash, hope he can give you minutes to replace someone like Vazquez and potentially add a top 10 pick in a draft with a lot of interesting options at forward? If all it cost was futures...

The demolishing of the Knicks has begun. Tyson Chandler and Raymond Felton to the Mavericks for Jose Calderon, Sam Dalembert, Shane Larkin and the 34th and 51st picks in the draft.

That looks like a pretty terrific deal for the Knicks.

Intriguing discussions for the Raptors:  John Salmons + 37th for Tayshaun Prince + 22nd

I suppose. If the Raps are super high on someone they could get at 22 then, yeah. Otherwise it seems like a lot of money to put into next year to move up 15 spots.

Yeah, Prince isnt a huge addition but it seems to be around the discussion of acquiring Tyler Ennis + Clint Capela.  I'm pretty on board for that.  Capela could be a Serge Ibaka clone defensively.

Drafting Ennis, though, seems to be a pretty strong indication that they'd be moving on from either Lowry or Vazquez.

True, unless they view Vaszques as SG next year and Ennis as the backup PG.  Or it could just be insurance on Lowry, which isn't a terrible idea regardless.

Yeah, true. And I don't hate the deal regardless. Even if one of those guys are gone I think there will be a lot of intriguing prospects at 20-22.

Hilarious.  Joel Embiid gets drafted 3rd to Philadelphia and they show a video of him stone faced and looking pissed.  They start talking about how he is upset about going to Philadelphia and then realize it was a satellite feed that was delayed.

Nice gesture by the NBA to "draft" Isaiah Austin

Agreed. I can't even imagine what it must be like to work so long for something and to have it just disappear in the blink of an eye for seemingly no good reason. He certainly handled it better than I think most people would have.
