Watching Gonzaga vs Cro Cop 2. Seems like just yesterday this was a fight to determine the next title shot.
Nobody really gave Gonzaga a shot in the 1st fight and then he caught Cro Cop with own his signature head kick.

How shocking it was that the most overhyped fight in boxing was a borefest.
I really thought Pacquiao took this. But yeah, the whole thing reminded me why I watch UFC and not boxing.

You thought pacquiao won?  I didn't think it was that close.

Agree with LK - nothing worth the billing.

Mayweather easily won by the numbers.  The judges rarely deduct for clinching and certainly weren't going to do it in this match.  Manny threw more punches but connected infrequently and while I think he landed the handful of better hits but sheer volume Mayweather controlled the fight and landed far more punches, even if they were all pillow punches.

It was never going to be a good fight.  Mayweather waiting until Paq was well out of his prime to fight this fight so any of the power that Paq had as an advantage was gone while Mayweather style is far more conducive to fighting longer into his career, especially against guys he has a big reach advantage on.

Just the notion of the buildup to this fight was hilarious.  Calling it the greatest fight of all time in buildup at some points, just absurd.  I would honestly have rather paid $100 to go back and watch Tyson KO half his opponents in the 1st round again.

This gets interesting...

Manny Pacquiao could face disciplinary action from Nevada boxing officials for failing to disclose a shoulder injury before his fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Pacquiao could face a possible fine or suspension for not answering the question accurately on a form he filled out just before Friday?s weigh-in. He would go on to lose a unanimous decision to Mayweather in the richest fight ever.

Meanwhile, orthopedic surgeon Dr. Neal ElAttrache told ESPN.com that Pacquiao will undergo surgery later this week to repair a "significant tear" in his rotator cuff. ElAttrache examined Pacquiao on Monday at his Kerlan Jobe Orthopedics office in Los Angeles.

"We had no medical information, no MRIs, no documents," said Travis Tygart, who heads the USADA. "It was not an anti-doping issue. The real question is why his camp checked ?no? on the disclosure. Either they made a terrible mistake to not follow the rules or they were trying not to give information to the other side. I?m not sure there?s a middle ground."

A little more than two hours before the fight, Pacquiao?s corner asked Nevada regulators if he could be given a shot of Toradol, an anti-inflammatory.

Pacquiao said after the fight that his shoulder had improved and he was hopeful of fighting with the shot.

"It?s not just the fact he didn?t fill out the question completely, it was that he wasn?t honest and they didn?t tell us a month ago when he had the shoulder injury," Bennett said.

That was one bloody fight between Lawler and Macdonald.

Yup, there is a graphic photo of McDonalds nose doing the rounds, disgusting.

Congrats to the notorious one.

You could just tell his nose shattered the rest of the way on that last shot he took.

Ronda Rousey best fighter in the world currently.

She dedicated her most recent fight and win (over Correia) to the late Rowdy Roddy Piper, who apparently was a "huge influence" for her in her path to greatness in her career.

Considering her last 3 fights have lasted a combined 64 seconds I might have to agree. She agreed to take this fight in Rio (her opponent's backyard) and dropped her in 34 seconds. I don't see a real challenge left in the 135 pound division. There's 1 fight out there to make and that is Cris Cyborg. The big issue is Cyborg fights at 145 for another organization (UFC only has 115 and 135 for women) and has not shown much willingness to come down to 135.

Rousey pummelled and humiliated by Albuquerque's Holly Holm in UFC 193 yesterday.

Holm's kicks and punches nearly knocked out Rousey completely, who seemed overwhelmed by Holm's clever manouveuring.  Holm's never gave Rousey a chance to get her game going as she initiated several upper kicks & cuts to the head, leaving Rousey knocked out with a split lip.

Rousey was thereafter taken to hospital for observation.

This was probably the most anticipated matchup of the year in Women's UFC.  This one having taken place in Melbourne (Australia) broke the original attendance record set in Toronto for a UFC matchup.

What made Ronda Rousey's loss even more surprising according to analysts was that Holly Holm delivered a total of 38 hits -- Rousey dished out a total of 64 hits at her opponents over several bouts, and in the end, overwhelming each and every one of her competitors.  Not so here.  Ouch.
