The Official Complaint Thread!

I arrived at 7:30am and was able to talk to her for about a half hour, tell her I loved her, hear her say it back and then she just went to sleep, surrounded by family, she passed at 11:20am.

This is the worst day of my life, i feel broken.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I don't know yet what it's like to lose a parent but I do know I'd like to be there and say I love you. Again, I'm so sorry.

Oh WIGWAL I'm so sorry buddy. It sounds like she held on to see you. I know it's a terrible thing to go through but it's nice that you were able to see and speak with her. If it had happened before you arrived, well... You know.

Condolences.

oh Wigwal. :-( a thousand hugs.

I'm heartened that you were able to make it home but sorry for your loss.

My grandmother passed away a day after my sister's wedding.

:(

Condolences to you and your family, Bender.  I know exactly what it feels like to lose a grandparent.  When I lost my dearly beloved grandmother, I felt like I had lost the closest friend a child could possibly have.  I was all of 12 when my nonna passed away in her hometown in Italy.  She had returned there after having lived with us for ages. As I was unable to travel to Italy at the time, it hurt all the more.

I do know that she is in a much better place 'up where one goes'.

I'm sure your grandma is watching over you.

In sympathy, to you and your family, WIGWAL.  Nothing can ever replace the deep hurt of losing a parent.  I know because when I lost my Dad through a terrible illness, I felt helpless to ease whatever pain he had been going through.  I'll never forget the day he passed away, for our family, it was emotionally distraught.  But at least, knowing that my father is somewhere 'up there' in a much, much better place with everyone who left before him, eases the pain and the void of always seeing the empty chair where my father used to sit at the dinner table.

After all these years, memories and emotions flood back as if it were only yesterday.  But at least, I know my Dad is watching over all of us.  I know.

As I am sure your Mom, who loved you more than words can say, is watching over you.  And smiling.

God bless.

I don't know you personally either Wigwal but I'm also sorry for your loss. My dad died when I was 2 so losing my mother is something I've dreaded all my life and when it happens, I know it'll be the worst day of my life as well.

I'm sorry for the pain you're going through and wish you all the strength in the world to get through it.
