The Official TV Thread

Watching Californication on Netflix now. This has to be one of my favourite shows of all time already. I never thought much of David Duchovny as an actor, but I respect him immensely for his part in this show. Plus his "girlfriend" in the show is a fox!

So all you guys were saying this, and my brothers were telling me this, and I'm like "yeah sure"...then I watched it.

F.  Was it ever good.  I was addicted.

Now, I've seen season 1 and 2...but where can I find the rest?

It's actually pretty affordable on DVD. Something like 130 or something for the whole series.

But, yeah, can't recommend it highly enough. My favourite show of all time and a massive gap between it and whatever would be #2.

Is it better than HBO's Rome? Cause that series is beyond epic.
If you're a fan of Rome give I,Claudius a watch. It begins at the time where Augustus(Octavian) been Emperor for about 8 years and ends when Nero becomes Emperor. Not as visually stunning as Rome(made in early to mid 70's) but the writing is better and much like Rome the casting is perfect for the character's. My pick for greatest show ever on tv for a mini-series.

In my head this is the guy I wanted to see come back...

Wasn't bad.  Clyde's mom in the toilet in the casket made me howl... and the cop with Mr. Marsh on the toilet and the woman cop with Kyles father were good scenes too.

The scene with the guy watching all the monitors is among the most disturbing things they've done in years. It was difficult to watch and not feel extremely uncomfortable.

The worst thing I remember was Mr. Garrison's operation, its actually one of the only episodes I've only seen once because it was so gross.

Right!  I totally forgot about that while I was typing, probably because like you said, it was downright disturbing.

The other night, I was watching the episode where they lost the internet for a while (season 11 I believe) and they all go to that internet refugee type camp and are only allowed to spend 40 seconds at a time on the net.  The scene where Randy breaks in the trailer to watch internet porn made me cry laughing.
