Newrooms spoiler:

I definitely didn't see that coming. Even when the heart attack happened I didn't think he'd be gone-gone. Very curious to see how the show ends. I've thought this season has been very good.

Yeah, I hold out hope that the fact they run a few years behind means they might bring it back, Sorkin really is fantastic at TV. The West Wing and Studio 60 are great too.

I've watched the first 3 on Netflix. I think the second one was my favourite, but they're all very good. Incredibly dark as you say, but worryingly not too far off the mark!

I'm not sure if it's sci-fi or satire!

Goodbye Charlie Farquarhason.  Don Harron, iconic Canadian actor, who made famous his alter-ego Charlie Farquaharson, passed away at his home at the age of 90.

Harron appeared as Farquarharson on U.S. television, specifically on "Hee Haw", a quasi country music/comedy/variety show that ran from the very early '70's to the very early '90's (25 years in syndication), and featured the likes of Goldie Hawn, Roy Clark, Buck Owens, Gordie Tapp, etc.

Harron was also instrumental in helping to bring the Canadian classic "Anne of Green Gables" to television.

Who else watched the first two episodes of 'Better Call Saul'?  Gotta say it exceeded my expectations.

As a huge Breaking Bad fan, I was also a bit skeptical going in.  But it definitely exceeded my expectations- lets hope it continues to do so.  Bringing back Tuco, one of my favourite characters from BB definitely helped :)

I think a lot of worry about Better Call Saul was that he was often the comic relief next to Cranston and Paul.  In reality he had a lot of depth to his character and while he certainly was comical I think there was a lot of insecurity in him too.  Taking him back to his roots when he wasn't as adept at maneuvering the legal system/and underground is a great way to bring that more into light.

That and I just really like Bob Odenkirk.  I'm really excited for the Mr. Show reunion that is supposed to be coming out.

Saul was good, like LK said, Odenkirk is fantastic. I always think of this tag/promo for Blood into Wine when I think of Bob.

Has anyone else taken the (dark) plunge into Black Mirror?

Thanks for that!

I've enjoyed Fortitude recently and the Sunny in Philly episode 'Charlie Work' was amazing, De Palma would've been proud.

Yeah, I was skeptical too, but I trust Vince Gilligan too, he's obviously pretty precious regarding the show given its source material.

Plus, as in Breaking Bad, it's just so beautifully shot.

I think the past two episodes have been fantastic.

Netflix has ruined me though, this waiting a week between shows is terrible.
