The Official TV Thread

I was just always a Morbo guy.

Definitely morbo and hypno toad.

One of my proudest moments at work years ago was streaming hypnotoad on all the overhead TVs we had hanging in our department. My boss wasn?t pleased. But totally worth it.

Very excited. My wife is getting antsy.

Luckily, I have season 5 of The Last Kingdom to watch! <came out today>
Though, if I'm being honest, I'll probably just binge-watch the whole thing today and tomorrow.

Was hoping for more Darth Maul as I liked the stories they did with him outside of Phantom Menace.  I'm down for Inquisitors though.

Yep, I've been waiting desperately for the new Last Kingdom season. But then I started watching Vikings again (I hadn't watched the 5th and 6th seasons). 10 more episodes to go!

And speaking of which, I didn't realize Brent Burns was a character! ha! He certainly looks the part.

I know, wasn't that crazy.  I had to do a double take the first time I saw it.  The only thing that was missing was his character eating a Kit Kat Chunky bar.

If people haven't been watching Winning Time, I'd really recommend they give it a spin. Even if you're not a Basketball fan I think it's a really compelling start to a series that I'd assumed would be hamstrung by some of the casting difficulties(How do you find someone to convincingly play Kareem Abdul-Jabbar) but they really did it. The guy playing Magic Johnson is especially terrific.

Two weird NHL related observations though that I hope aren't spoiler-y:

1. The first episode is about Jerry Buss selling off parts of his real estate empire to raise the 67 million it cost him to buy the Lakers and the Forum from Jack Kent Cooke. At no point in the series do they even mention, and in fact I didn't know about it until I was reading about the sale on Wikipedia, that the 67 million included the Kings.

2. It wasn't until I read the above that I realized that the Kings of that era wore the same colours as the Lakers.
