Anyone else growing to like Marincin's game quite a bit? Not in a "major part of the future" way but in a "sure as hell worth a 4th round pick" sort of way.

I was thinking earlier in the game that he's really impressed me on the PK. I can't remember if he was getting many minutes there when Phaneuf and Polak were on the team (guessing not), so it's nice that those moves gave him an opportunity to have a larger role there.

I sir.  Honest to God, I was just wondering what others thought about him and then you posted this.

Last 5 games he's played anywhere from 18:14 to 25:13 and I thought he's looked pretty reliable doing it.

I think in the first intermission they showed the defense pairings and then somebody said that maybe only 2 of them would be on the team in September.  I get their point but that seemed a bit extreme.

Yeah, that was Healy. So, you know.

I dig it. We can cheapo contract him for a couple of years before bumping him for a pick.

Yeah, maybe. But if he's cheap he might be a good bottom pairing guy for sometime. Float like a 4 year/8 million dollar offer maybe.

And when he played with Rielly on the top pairing for a bit there I thought he more than held his own. It's not a role he would ideally be in but you could say the same about Hunwick.

I guess hand in hand with the no beard policy is assembling a team full of players who don't shave yet.

I 100% approve of the "if you can't grow a proper beard, you go clean shaven" policy.

Certainly doable. He doesn't have sexy production numbers, so cost will ever very attractive.
