William Nylander

Apparently, some people are taking issue with the fact Nylander is taking Lindros's old number.  Lindros, the Leafs legend that played exactly 33 games with the Leafs.  :o

On Lindros's own website he has himself in a Flyers jersey (and rightfully so) for crying out loud.

I bought one a year ago, first jersey since Tucker :(... I know Real Sports is offering free changes but that's still an hour + each way for me.

But what matters most is that Willy is happy.

It was during the 17/18 season when he was still good. But like, late in the season. Oh no maybe I did this...
 
Lou required low numbers so he picked the reverse of his dad?s 92. Willy?s number has traditionally been 88.

I admit, I do not follow "Leafs Twitter" as a whole but all that article really cited were a bunch of people who used the number change to take a shot at Nylander for his bad year, only one guy mentioned Lindros or even the idea that taking his number was disrespectful.

Every time there's a "________ Twitter reacts to this news" article to show that people are outraged about something the only tweets that they present are from people with less than 100 followers. Like what's the point in sharing what @CrustyoldVet (2 followers) thinks about Nylander's number?
