Reimer can eff off.  I would have pulled him after the wraparound.

He certainly wasn't good tonight.  I'm going to give the guy who has had to stand on his head most nights a pass though.  The team in front of him plays the same way every night.  This is what happens when your system is inherently terrible (whether it is the players in the system or the system itself doesn't really matter).  Good goaltenders are still going to have off nights.

Look at the shot attempts.  Basically would have had to stand on his head for the Leafs to have the lead or still be tied.

Don't misunderstand me.  I fully recognize the difficulty when you play behind a "defense" that produces more turnovers than a Copenhagen bakery.

Amen to that.

And Healy with the attempt to create a soap opera, imagining a dirty look from Reimer in Carlyle's general direction. Healy, once again, is such a d*ckhead.

We don't really know what Carlyle said to him in the dressing room.

Is it just me or does Clarkson seem to lose his balance rather easily? I swear he falls down along the boards quite a bit on pretty routine battles.

Not not just you. I have been saying that since watching him in the preseason. We might as well just call him squeegee.  Some power forward eh?

Niiiiice.

Great. CBC just skipped back about 5 minutes so now I have to wait to see the goal. :(

And the feed had been working so well, too!

I noticed that too.  Always falling down. Virtually every battle for the puck.

Set them up on the PP like that - sure he'll miss the net a number of times, but at least present the risk of a one-timer goal.  He's still got a rocket shot.  It's being wasted by the PP set-up.

Holland again having a strong game.  Both goals were due to his effort and he doesn't get rewarded with a point.  I wish there was a stat that kept track of the guy who causes a turnover/screens the goalie but doesn't actually get an assist on a goal.

The Gwcatstgbdagaaoag stat is too advanced.

Holland's the best centre on the team right now.

I think this seals Gardiner's fate in that's the only tradable asset that the
Leafs can trade. Nonis has to do something.  Even with Bozak coming back on the 29th. Thank goodness for the freeze.

So lets trade our most mobile defenceman? Good plan.

Hey I agree 100%! It's just that if Nonis makes a deal that means anything Gardiner will be involved.  I hate the idea but I fear it's happening. It's also plain to see RC doesn't like Jake and I'm sure if I was Jake I'd be pretty annoyed with Carlyle too..
