Tuning in for the 3rd most weekdays is pretty frustrating, the team straight flips from really good to really bad for some reason.  I wonder if it's more mental or physical.

This is probably the worst game Matthews has had this year. Been non existent. Pick it up Auston and put this game away. Very quiet tonight.

Lol, Nylander has been slotted back onto Matthews wing as a defensive substitution after the Hyman - Matthews - Brown line let in two goals in less than two minutes.

To judge from the past 6-8 weeks, Matthews has a fair amount of work to do defensively

Reilly looks uncomfortable out there.  On that last goal he laboured to turn to his left which gave the forward time to find someone to pass to.  Watch him when the puck is dumped in, he's always turning right to switch from going backwards to forwards

Is he struggling with ambi-turning?

Lol.  Indeed he his.  He usually doesn't get beat to the outside as much as he has been recently.

He did hurt his arm getting hit with a shot in P1.  But I'm not sure that has anything to do with it.

I'm sure it'll come back to him just as the Prime Minister of Malaysia needs it the most.

The real defensive substitution was Kadri's line (now with more Brown) was reassigned to Zetterberg's line.

It's hard to find a rational justification for how Hyman is glued to Matthews, particularly when Leivo has been so good in his limited games played.

Probably not recovered 100% from that injury which is even more reason they should have addressed it at the deadline. Boyle and Fehr were a waste in my mind. Could have picked up someone could alleviated his minutes. Mind you I wouldn't blame his dismal + - all to possibly playing hurt some of it is been poor decision making.

Babcock and his stubbornness.

Well, credit to them for hanging on.  They shut DET down pretty well after the early goal.
