Hirvonen set up Lundell/Petman beautifully to be the hero but Petman Hirvonen?s it wide. Shades of Kapanen?s gold medal winner.
 
The Canada game was like watching paint dry. Neither team could get much going. The last 5 minutes were the most exciting when the Czech's pulled their goalie. Good on their coach for recognizing that his team couldn't get the puck past the neutral zone and needed to do take a chance.
 
Yeah, team D was pretty suffocating, although Canada was outshot, a lot of those to me seemed to be long range and from the outside. For the actual scoring chances, Levi looked really sharp. All in all, never got the idea that Canada wasn't in control of the game.

I like the kid. He could very well turn out to be better then Schneider who hasn't impressed me at all. Doesn't mean he won't be good because of this tourney. I think Amirov is going to be a player as well.

Sorry but Askarov is massively overrated. That wasn't a great goal. Had a huge top half to shoot at. Go Canada!
