Game Notes
TB
-Jonas Johansson will likely start for the Lightning
-Apparently the Leafs aren't the only blue and white team that is vague when discussing injuries to their players. They're missing a number of key players at the moment with Kucherov and Vasilevskiy being the latest to miss games. They did get some good news as Victor Hedman returned to the line-up on Saturday after missing 12 games with a, yup you guessed it, undisclosed injury
-Tampa is currently on a 3 game losing streak after firing off 7 straight wins in 12 day to end November
TOR
-Dennis Hildeby will likely start for the Leafs
-The Leafs held an optional practice on Sunday meaning any potential line-up changes will have to wait for the morning skate

Just flipping waive Robertson already. The way the organization has handled him is kind of pathetic.
We assume he would be an everyday player somewhere else but what do we know? Definitely feels like his career is being pissed away in Toronto.

I think when fans look at guys like Mason Marchment and Carter Verhaeghe, they see players that could have fit nicely in with this roster, but feel like they weren't really given a fair chance to succeed here. The fear is that the Leafs go out an try and bandage in someone in the top 6, and Robertson will go somewhere else and be good in the top 6, so it will come across as just poor asset management.

Not sure what is going to happen. I am also not sure what Robertson has done or not done. It feels like he has said the wrong thing to the wrong person in the organization.

They've beaten the trade market to death for Robertson. They're obviously not intrigued by the return.
Treliving's job is on the line. He probably feels like he has to do something.
Makes me wonder if they're showcasing Cowan to improve on a return for him.

To be fair, Marchment and Verhaeghe weren't everyday players when they were moved. They know what they have in Robertson and that's probably why they haven't moved him yet.
So let's bench Robertson for a guy that has 1pt in his last 15 games because he brings what over him?

They're not trading Cowan. As for the Robertson trade market. What does Tre expect to get for a guy who never got, at that time, a legit shot in the top 6, very limited ice and was sat in the press box? You're telling everyone basically you're trying to dump this player because the coach doesn't,(we) value him.

Based on what I've seen lately, I think Cowan should either be on line 3, or back in the AHL playing big minutes in all situations, and Robertson should be getting his opportunities in the top 6 and on the PP.
