Have they had a hit yet this season with a RISP?  Not tonight I know.

EDIT: And why not have Davis steal 3rd?

In case he gets caught?

I'd feel more confident in him stealing 3rd than any of those guys coming through with a hit, tbh.

Bailey throws 96 and they were holding him close. With less than 2 outs, it's just bad baseball.

Doesn't seem like he's particularly good at holding runners, and stealing 3rd is generally easier than stealing 2nd I believe.  I like the aggressive play with speed on the basepaths and a team struggling with RISP.

Well sure, but it's still not smart. You asked why they didn't do it. That's why. And frankly, if Davis thought he could make it, he would have gone. He doesn't play anyway, what's Gibby gonna do? Bench him?

Still way too early but it's a little frustrating to see the team making a lot of basic errors.  Too bad that they couldn't get it up for a game against their former manager.

What's with the ads digitally added to the screen? I mean they created a giant wall in center field that isn't there so they could put a juice ad on it?

Stop screwing with my mind.

Also, why the seats in center with the cloth over them?

Nice bounce back effort.  5-0 shutout.  Rasmus and Arencibia with homeruns and all the offense.  Reyes continues to be a bright spot at the top of the order.

Happ had a pretty decent game.

The wall and blocked off areas in center are to eliminate visual distractions for hitters, I'm sure.

It's called the batter's eye, and it's like that in every stadium that had outfield seats that would be directly behind the pitcher. It's there so that the batter doesn't lose the ball in the crowd and end getting hit in the face or something.

I hope the Jays win tomorrow so those that call into talk radio stop crying for at least day (about the team outside of Lind and Rasmus).

A great day for every member of Blue Jays nation not named Ricky Romero.

Let's judge it on 2 starts, that makes sense.

His April stats last season were noticeably worse than the rest of his season, too.

It makes at least as much sense as hyping a team that hadn't even played a game.
