I can't wait for the the 26th draft day. Don't know about you but will be glued to the sofa, of course with many adult beverages to help the day along.
Even with all the signings of coaches etc. getting very dull here.
When we start arguing about the Coyotes things are getting stale.

Here's some drama, Highlander.

Boring answer: Martine is part of the Hockey Wives reality series that is not licensed to display NHL logos.

Thanks Herman, the Bernier Baby Caper? Knuckles is heading out of town and the Baaby will go with Dadda to a new place and wear a new logo. Do I hear Edmonton?????? Tune in on the 26th for the exciting place where Baby Bernier will end up. Contract will include two matching Nelson Mandela bookends.

The explanation being given for the lack of logo is that the baby was on an episode of Hockey Wives being filmed that day and that there are some copyright issues. Let's not read too much into someone's wife's comments.

You'd think she'd just say that though, right?  "We can't have Leafs logo on the TV show."

The appearance on the show was supposed to be a surprise, I think.

I think she's saying he's gone to the Oil for the 16th pick.

Wouldn't the show itself just block that out in post-production or whatever it is?  Would be weird for her to do it on Instagram.  I mean, that's a more likely answer but it would be odd for that to be blocked on her Instagram or on the actual shirt and not just done by the show digitally.

I do work for a television network. They can get very weird about social media concerning copyright, trademarks, etc.

The issue is there's no defined rules as of yet regarding a television production and social media. A production might have a release for broadcast-to-air but that might not cover social media. It's a gray area so the broadcaster plays it safe.

Interesting, thanks for that info.  It's weird because there are other photos of the kid with Leafs logos on the Instagram just with a different month shirt.

Oh well, offseason fun!

Hockey-reference just introduced this new feature which seems useful: http://www.sports-reference.com/blog/2015/06/introducing-the-nhl-draft-finder/

That is nice.  So easy to search for players taken by a team who either did or didn't make the NHL.  You can compare which teams have a better success rate of drafting, wasted picks etc.  Going to spend some time on this site.
