Whether you care about the tourney or not, it has been incredibly enjoyable watching these players getting to play together.

How crappy is Tyler Ennis going to feel once this is over?

93 on defense must have been thinking "Why are you making a shooting motion with your stick, Tyler? You can't fool me, there's no way the puck can get to y- OH NO"

G-0-L-D!!!

Team Canada defeats Team Russia to win the Gold by a score of 6-1.
Sidney Crosby, Ennis, Eakin, and Giroux with two points each as well as goals by McKinnon & Seguin paced Canada.

Not since 2007 has Canada won gold at the World Hockey Championships.
Sydney Crosby also begins a member of the "Triple Club" -- players who've three golds.  (For Crosby, that's Vancouver 2010, Sochi 2014, and these 2015 WHC).

The Canadians also kept their perfect record intact, going 10-0 in the tournament.

Way to go, CANADA, Way to go!!!

In the Bronze medal match, Team USA shutout the Czech Republic 3-O, led by goals from Coyle & Nick Bonino.  USA goaltender Connor Hellebuyck, who toils for the AHL's St. Johns Icecaps, preserved the shutout making 39 saves.

Team USA last won the Bronze medal in 2013 World Championships  making it their second in three WHCs.  They finished with a 6-1 record in the tournament.

Not to keep bringing it back to Crosby but I keep hearing about the "Triple Gold" club that he joined and, forgive me if someone has mentioned this elsewhere, but I wonder if he's the first guy to captain teams to all three championships.

Crosby along with Jarome Iginla & Chris Pranger were alternate captains for Vancouver 2010.  Scott Niedermayer was captain.

In Sochi 2014, Crosby was captain,  Toews & Weber were alternates.

Thanks for the google search. That doesn't in any way answer my question though.

Crosby becomes the 26th player to win the "Triple Crown" for a gold medal at the WC, a gold medal in the Olympics and a Stanley Cup.

More impressively, Crosby is the 1st and only player to captain his team in each leg of the 3 events.

Read that link and was surprised Kovalchuk lead the group off the ice.  He's never been one to walkout on things.

If Kovalchuk does in fact return to the NHL, my hope is he gets booed unmercifully in Canada.  Such a big puke!
