For

Aaron Ekblad

Florida some money to offer Panarin and Bob and uses their international teammate as a selling point.

I know... :(

Sleep deprivation does crazy things to your mind.

Is that Corey Perry's music?!

edit: Spezza-Perry as 2/3 of a 4th line would be great, I don't care how slow they are.

Ron Hainsey?

Kadri and Marner?s rights for Hamilton and Aho?s rights, let?s go

A commonly speculated location is Calgary.  Would have to believe one of Hamonic, Brodie, Andersson, or Hannifin would be coming back.

Some big tickets there. I think if there?s a Calgary deal to be had, Sparks is heading there too.

DJ smith will be very comfortable.

Didn't Ottawa rip Toronto for being in cap hell with a weak defense?  Now they've helped Toronto out of cap hell and taken on 2 of the defenders Toronto employed (Z and Hainsey)?

Don?t forget acquiring the coach that ran the defense.

Hahahahahahahahahahaha

So assuming everyone gets signed and gets healthy, the Leafs will look something like

Johnsson-Matthews-Nylander
Hyman-Tavares-Marner
Moore-Kerfoot-Kapanen
Mikheyev-Spezza-Petan
Gauthier

Rielly-Ceci
Muzzin-Barrie
Dermott-Holl

Freddy
Hutch

Which, you know, seems ok. I sure would like it if guys like Timashov or Liljegren were ready to make an impact though.

A weird thing I just noticed is that it looks like the Leafs have three 6th round picks and four 7th round picks for next year.

Still not confirmed but there should be a Nick Shore in there somewhere as another defensive PK-RH faceoff man.

I can see us leading Gauthier to greener pastures (Montreal) and running a 4th line of the new cheapos.

I can't see Goat on the team period. He offers nothing other then a warm body. That's not good enough these days.

Maybe although in the absence of him you have to have a guy who'll be on the big club roster and can play in event of emergency but who you don't mind sitting in the press box most nights or for weeks at a time.

Or, as you put it, all you want in a 13th forward is more or less just a warm body.
