Maybe a bit, but if his trade value dips to a certain point it would probably just make more sense for Anaheim to move him next season instead.

Zee said:What "experienced backup" is going to help this team? If both Samsonov and Murray are cooked the Leafs are screwed anyway so why not hope for some rookie luck in net? There's no goalie available that will make a difference. Habs got rookie run with Roy, Canes with Cam Ward, Blues with Binnington, it can happen from time to time
I don't think he gets moved. I've watched almost all of his games this year. This guy has transformed his game and I think he's the real deal. Watching him live is so impressive. He's at a different level then Kallgren and Petruzzelli who I think is the #4 now.Frank E said:Zee said:Anyone think Woll is backup next year? He doesn't have a huge resume but 7 total NHL games now and he's 5-2 with a .922% Certainly looks more promising than Sparks early returns. It's a long way off but we may have finally developed a goalie for ourselves
I have a feeling that last night was Woll's biggest game of his career.
I think Dubas showcased him, and he's gone for an experienced backup today.
Dubas won't survive if goaltending is what downs the Leafs these playoffs.

Yeah, I have zero interest in acquiring another goalie right now.
Yup..always liked his game and I think he would slide into that 2LW spot just fine.CarltonTheBear said:I also still like Conor Garland at 50% retained if the Canucks would rather ditch him that way as opposed to buying him out.

An experienced 3rd goalie wouldn't be the worst thing, but they'd have to come pretty cheap. Definitely not a priority by any means.

Agreed. Doesn't make sense to move out Woll just to bring in a short-term insurance piece. Right now, he should only be on the table for a clear, longer-term upgrade.

I saw Sawchuk help Bower. You don't see it very often. Moog & Fuhr?
A team that loses their starter is usually done.

The leafs finally have a promising goaltender prospect, and you'd move him for backup rental?
Can't see any logic there. Hard pass.
