Simmonds probably shouldn't be doing a hit like that in a game like that at a time like that.

He really is awesome though. Love that the Leafs have him.
Keep the intensity going. The Canucks were still hitting.

I must have just missed this... Nylander loses his stick and STILL gets the puck with 3 Canucks surrounding him.

Isn?t this the guy they could have drafted...

I hear we have a lot of games against Vancouver and Ottawa left this season

He also took the puck from them using his stick upside down for a bit.

"Some of the guys were giving it to [Spezza] a little bit," Keefe said. "They thought that the hat trick goal looked a lot like some of the drills he was doing there with the skills-development staff.?

Edler doing a good mannequin impression.

And as I was in 2016(?), I am very here for a skilled scoring 4th line if the 1st and 3rd are being stuffed with defensive assignments.

Boyd looks like a very nice pickup; he is simply productive in limited deployment. Not that he has too much to do with it, but the Leafs are 3-0 with Boyd in the lineup, and he has a 3-game point streak, while averaging under 9 min TOI, tied for 5v5 goals with John Tavares (lol). As highlighted in the broadcast, his textbook centre lane drive opened up the space for Petan to ladle some sauce over to Spezza.

Spezza's 2nd goal was a thing of beauty. The original breakout pass from Brodie to Boyd who dishes and drives the net and a beauty of a pass from Petan to Spezza who killed it. Perfect 3 on 2.
Keefe has got to stay with that line for another game.

I think it's pretty safe to give Lehtonen a run one of these games against the bottom of the Canucks' lineup too, even though Dermott just had a muscle cramp.

I suspect Lehtonen gets in tomorrow night. The injury may not be serious, but a couple extra days of rest can't hurt.
