Devils vs. Maple Leafs - Dec. 10th, 7:00pm - TSN4, Fan 590

Looking at that bottom six I fully expect Reaves, Holmberg, and Robertson to be gone by the end of the season.

We haven't said a word about Calle Jarnkrok all season, it seems, but we have missed him.
We've missed him because the ones that have played and have been given a chance playing with good players have done absolutely nothing. Jarnkrok is an upgrade from these guys but hasn't really provided much as well.

Jarnkrok is a tough one to figure out. Decent regular season player, usually good for about 15 goals and 30 points...20 goals in a good year. But those playoff stats, ouch - 5 goals in 93 playoff games. And watching him produce nothing for the Leafs when they had to put him in the top 6 in the playoffs was painful. Possibly an ok 3rd liner on a team that makes a deep playoff run.

Which, in fairness, was exactly what he was when he went to the finals with Nashville.

Jarnkrok is like Timmins...... he can provide flashes of brilliance and promise, but over the long term the best you can ask for is just mediocre play that doesn't shit the bed in key situations.

Problem is, come playoff time and the stars get shut down...even if Jarnkrok is where he belongs on line 3, who in the bottom 6 is going to score a big goal for the team. Same old, same old.

He's been on IR/LTIR all season

way too many games looking like this in December. New Jersey is running all over the place. Miserable effort

Love watching ESPN and TNT and Amazon for Leaf games..... they always say good things about the team

New Jersey is feeding the Leafs their breakfast right now. Maybe this is our game to get a goal after the puck bounces off the official

Leafs are second in penalties because they are the Leafs, not because they commit that many penalties.
