What is it against nonplayoff teams since, say Dec 1 or so, I wonder.

You're more than welcome to sift through a smaller sample size to find the conclusions you want to hear if you'd like.

That's the way I rock.  Facts, said Winston Churchill, are malleable things.

OK so he maybe didn't say that.  But he could have, and, I truly believe, should have.

Cue the flatterthanapancake 1st period.

Why you gotta be such a Debbie Downer?  I'm calling you Zanzibar Buck-Buck Debbie Downer McFate

Reality is a bitter pill.

Love to be proved wrong, but we need only go back a couple of days for evidence to the contrary.

The Leafs have the 4th best goal differential in the 1st period.

Recency bias is a hell of a drug.

What is it against nonplayoff teams since, say Dec 1 or so, I wonder.

You'd think that sort of thing would be all sorted out if Carlton is using half a season worth of data though, right?  I mean, the other teams are playing good and bad teams too, right?

You're assuming I trust Carlton.  :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :)

Guys, I think you're forgetting a little something called the Scientific Method which goes like this:

1. Conclusion
2. No, you shut up

If science reaches conclusion I don't like, I commission alternative science.

Haha did you hear what Chris Cuthbert just said?  He said we play *down* to opponents.  Haha I was right!  Thank you Scientist Chris Cuthbert!!

It's been long enough since they changed it back to white jerseys on the road that home whites look weird.

Need to score a goal.  All sorts of opportunities and nothing to show for it.

Gibson hasn?t been able to save a beach ball, no such issues so far tonight.

Muzzin has been as advertised: seems to make the right play almost all the time, good positioning, and knows when to jump up.

Legs look good.  But ultimately that?s not a good period. Leafs are rather skilled at making awful teams looks good.  Teams come on reeling and leafs struggle.
