Flames @ Leafs - Apr. 13th, 7:30pm - SNO, TSN 1050

That was comical.  Sabourin and Lucic having a meaningless fight but they dropped the gloves too early.  The refs let that go and then they have their meaningless fight.

Wonderful, Sabourin hurts himself.  That shit should have gone out of the league once and for all after Boogaard.

So the crosscheck on Matthews and the slew foot on Brodie should go without retribution? I'm not a big fight fan but I have no issue with what he did.

Holy it's hockey man. They have already turned it into a semi shinny hockey league already. What next eliminate hitting? Been part of the game for 100 years. If that was for the crosscheck on Matthews good for Sabourin.

Sabourin is playing tonight?  Seriously?  We don?t have anyone else deserving of a cup of coffee?  Spezza gets the night off and Thornton up to the second line.

I get some of this is line blenderinf biding time for the playoffs but I think Thornton should be getting a night off soon.  Too many ineffective games in a row

I'm not sure I'd really read much into Spezza sitting. It's likely gonna be something all the old guys do at some point in the next month, Spez just drew the first straw. I'd agree Sabourin shouldn't be playing but as long as it's a one-off I won't get too bothered about it.

Nope.  Staged fights are BS and need to go, absolutely.  There will probably always be fisticuffs that come up during the flow of play.

100% with you Guilt Trip. Lucic is tough as nails but can still contribute which is fine but when you take liberty on players knowing no one is going to do anything about it I'm all for instituting someone that can answer the bell.

Keefe is probably thinking the same thing. Any other reason Spezza is out tonight and Sabourin in?
